I love working around, and photographing people who make real things out of iron, steel and stone. From huge ethanol plants to granite quarries using diamond tip saws 13 feet in diameter for cutting chunks of granite the size of cars, to the small intricateness of packing machines and die castings no bigger than the diameter of a pencil, my role is to show the process and power behind producing tangible goods. It’s a great adventure, “Have hardhat, will travel.”
